The somewhat cooler, moister weather has spurred ants into more activity.  These large ants were scrambling along the end of a blackberry bramble branch. Not sure what they were after. A few feet below, red ants were swarming the carcass of a green anole.  (Photo not published. Might not go well with breakfast.)

    1. Thanks. It’s been so nice to have a little spot of cool weather back. When it has been near the triple digits here, it’s as if everything stops. No movement, just the sound of cicadas. Today, the ants were out, the bees, moths and butterflies were making their rounds and we saw six deer and even a bald eagle fly overhead today (left camera inside, dang!). Been a really beautiful day.
