Nothing like looking out the kitchen window in the morning and seeing a black vulture staring back at you. These fellows typically gather atop the highest local point, a nearby cell tower from which they launch their sorties. We’ve never seen them light in the trees.
wow thats pretty close i see them picking road kill quite often over here
Yeah, it was a little unnerving to see this big black bird looming in the kitchen window first thing!
Sometimes when they give you ‘that look’ it can be bit disturbing for sure.
LOL! Yeah, I wanted to tell him, “hey, I’m not roadkill,” and “isn’t a little early to be staring inside someone’s window?” He moved off about 40 minutes after the shots were taken.
Wow, now that’s different! I haven’t experienced that before, but I think I would feel very uncomfortable, hoping they didn’t know something I didn’t.
That is an amazing photo. 😉
Thanks again! It was a little weird to see this big black hulking figure with his gaze appearing to be squarely fixed into our kitchen.
They are the masters of “the look!”
Yes, that steely-eyed “are you dead yet?” look! 🙂
