The possum grapes are preparing for another year’s crop. The flowers are out and ready to make baby grapes. Let’s hope the pollinators return with a week of dry weather.
Well, they were a bit precocious when the post was made back in 2011. Today, our vines barely have a bud on them. The cold has slowed down nearly all our fruit plants (not a bad thing considering that April 4 is historically the last frost day for our area), so we hope for no late frosts or freezes to dampen the potential for bearing fruit.
